I have the same bike and being 6'-1" with 34" inseams I went with the Kuryakyn extendeds. They fit and work perfectly for me.

I'm 6ft ( was 6'1" ) and the Kuryakyn part# 540-864 at J&P, is a 2" extension. My inseam is 32" so the 3" extension would probably be too much for me. My legs get tired from fighting the wind on long rides so having them straighter would probably help.

Kury makes a 2" extension kit but it only fits HD's forward control set, so I believe. Then they make their standard set and an extended set which is 3" more than the standard. In other words, I'm fairly sure you can't buy the standard set and then put the 2" extension kit on it later.

Thanks, I didn't realize that the Kuryokyn controls were a whole unit and only came in standard and 3" extended. I wish I could ride a bike with the 3" extensions just to feel the differance. I might just make my own.

I'm looking at moving my controls forward. Are you interested in swapping the parts? All my parts are practically brand new.

bringing up an old thread... i had a question can anybody give me the distance between the mount and the foot peg for the enxtended forward controls. i just purchased an 08 super glide custom and the first thing i need is forward controls. but where my highway pegs sit i think is a comfortable spot and the standard forwards would be closer i dont want that... any measurment would be appreciated

Go with the four inch extension, I'm a wee bit tall and that what I have on my low rider. You'll be glad you bought the four vs the other's.

i appreciate your input but my problem is that im only 5' 11 1/2" but i like the reach of my highway pegs. i was curious how many inches the foot peg was from the mount so i can compare it to my pegs. would rather buy the right one for me upfront than to order it and not like it and have to send it back.

Stock forward controls are too short? Then you might want to go with the one to two inch extensions.

Kris, I know this is an old thread but I am faced with the same dilemma of wanting the forward control pegs in the same position as the Harley Highway pegs, what did you end up going with?

Thanks
