Now that the long and grueling task of installing 12 inch T bars on my Street bob is done, I want to axe the stock mirrors. I was thinking about adding a set of the Arlen Ness Low profile mirrors. If you can imagine how they'd look on my bike, the pic is in my sig.
Anyone have these mirrors? Or, at least, any thoughts about them (good or bad)?
Have you thought about running your mirrors upside down? Not sure the arlen ness would be any less "wingy" if you know what I mean, unless they had virtually vertical stems.
Are you talking about these? If so I would think twice with your bars. I really like the mirrors on apes, but when I recently swapped to T-bars, I cannot see behind me. Since I really like the small size and they sort of match my Dakota gauge, I am fabbing new arms for them. May sit differently on stock controls, I have PM contour controls.
8451hog, i was talking about those mirrors. either those (in black), or Harley makes those tribal mirrors. same kind of shape, just a little bigger and stick out more.
If I did not have the machining capability I would not use them on my T-bars (8"). Maybe you can ask the dealer if you can take them out to your bike and check them out. A little higher and a little further out would be better, that is what I am fabricating for mine.
