FXDF troubles
So last tuesday i was one my way to look at a boat, and got about 15 miles from home and had to stop for road construction. Looked down and noticed the speedo not working and the bike started to run really rough, started spitting sputtering coughing. I got throught the road construction and pulled into the boat dealer and it died on me. when on the decel it didnt have its usual cackle it just kinda had a very raspy blahhhh tone that didnt change. sounded like crap. my gas mileage dropped also during this ride. its been at the dealer since last wed and they cannot get it to duplicate the problem and say it has started, ran and rode just fine.
And to top that when i pulled into the boat dealer the boat i was going over to look at was just sold and leaving on the back of another truck.

Part of the problem might be that it's at the dealer.
Get it home & get a factory service manual and start checking it out.
Mine, an 08 with 30,000 miles, did the same thing yeasterday... except it wouldn't restart. Got it home and this is what I found so far:
That's the plug on the battery side of the voltage regulator.
