I'm In Love!
A 2007 Road King Classic!
Went to the dealer this morning, talked with the salesman, told him what I was willing to spend, and after offer/ counter offer, I got the Road King for what I think is an OK deal. They wanted $14,995 for the Road King, he came down to $14,000 and gave me $8500 for my bike. So after tax, and all the other junk, it was my bike and $6300. The Road King is in excellent condition with 12,000 miles on the clock. I'll post pics as soon as my daughter can find the cord to our camera so we can down load them.

The RKC was going on the trip, one way or the other. It made a believer out'a him. He's always hated Harleys (us 3 younger bro's just grew up that way), and had never outgrown the opinion. Well, guess who called me a week ago, feeling me out about whether my RKC might be for sale?!?!? I told him I'd find him a nice "fixer" like mine (he's a CAS*, too!)
There's a guy on ebay that sells 'em. They're stick-on, not speed-nut; chromed plastic, not metal...very much like most car emblems today. You can get "Road - ..." King, Queen, Rage, Hog, Kill; also Twin Cam. I think the set was $29. Go to ebay motors, search on "road king emblems" and look for the Lexington, KY seller. Or go to their online store at... http://www.emblemzz.com/Scripts/default.asp
I am taking the RKC on the Hell's Canyon Rally...leaving in about 6 hours.

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
The ride? Oh my,........... night and day! This thing is a Cadillac..........no...........make that a Rolls Royce! Smooth, and something I never thought I'd have use for, and I find I'm loving it, is the cruise control. This bike has cruise control!
Still waitin for my daughter to find her cord for the camera.................she "thinks she loaned it to her friend".
