Default Speedo Trig Ring

What is involved in removing the speedo trim ring on my '09 FXDB? Just wanted to take it off to have it redone in satin black but before starting to pry anything off, I was hoping for any info on how to easily remove the ring alone.

You can't remove it. It's built into the speedo. I know this because I changed my speedo to a Dakota Digital.

On my 06 FXDI I pry ring out to change speedo face, took me about 3 hrs with flat screw driver, and set of pliers, but if you are painting it, it will peel off when you tight ring back up, I suggest you spray paint in place
