Default Cracked Mudguard 2007 Super Glide

Has anybody experienced a cracking of the front mudguard, just behing the mounting bracket. One of the rivets are also loose. Any advise on how to rectify???

At the risk of sounding uninformed, what is a "mudguard?"

That's what they call fenders over here in England, maybe the op is British.

To answer the question though, mine cracked at the rivet also, I'm pretty sure it's a common problem on 2006 and newer Dyna's. I bought a used fender off of ebay and had it painted with the rest of my tins when my bike got re-painted.

Before painting, it would be wise to at least solder the area around the rivet...better to braze it. Allow a little button of braze or solder to remain on the underside to thicken the section there. If you catch it before it fractures, use button head screws and low profile locknuts on the underside along with a fender washer, bent to match the fender.
If it did it once, it will probably do it again.
