On our trip to Alaska last year my son made ammo can saddle bags for his Street Bob. He had some very large boxes and just got longer bolts and spacers to bolt them into the fender brace out from the shocks. He ran them high enough to so that he could run braces across the fender. He used them over the 9K trip and they worked well. He used the handles to tie wrap a one gallon gas can to each one.
Who says that you can't do long distance touring on a Street Bob. The picture was taken at Butte Mont. where we met up with my other son who came up I-15 from Vegas.
excellent job Mud! I had a few old cans used for saddles of an old garage built chop once, loved them. Of course you put alot more effort into yours than I did. they looks amazing. I think I still got about a dozen assorted sizes laying around my garage... may put them to use again soon!
