Had the front motor mount installed a couple of weeks ago and am very impressed with the fit, finish and design of Glide-Pro's product.
It eliminated I'm guessing 40-50% of the vibrations to my handlebars.
Never really had a problem with the motor mount itself but it was transmitting so much vibration to my fairings that I had to replace broken fairing mounts several times.
I'm really appreciating the difference.
Jake at Glide-Pro is the inventor and only full-time employee so please be patient with inquiries. He has 30+ yrs experience in aviation mechanics and has transferred his knowledge to our vibration problems.
Hang in there Dyna guys. The wait and eventual cost will definitely be worth it if the results you guys get are even close to what I have already received.
Today I went back to there web site and checked a video they have http://www.glide-pro.com/tech/ and if you guys see it you can see that some of the urethane in there is not hard, actually its flexible so the concerns about having more vibrations for using a hard mount I guess are not true. Also at the very end of the video (last minute or so) he talks about other systems on helping with the wobble and refers to the bolt-on types (true track and others) and he talks about that hi is not concern that much on the side to side movement of the engine/tranny as much as the tilt that can happend.
Hope they give you good news and more info tomorow.
the other problem i have when these fricken things fail is related to that 'tilt' comment - not sure if anyone else has the problem but i run midmount pegs, and my exhaust hits the underside of my peg mount when the motor mount begins to fail and i have busted 3 exhaust brackets as a result!
spoke to Jake briefly today - sounded a bit rushed and was sorta vague but it sounds like he may have a final batch of prototypes soon and then would be available after that to public. Im hoping he will consider me for a final tester, he had me send him an email, and said he would respond asap whne they are in hand - No other details than that but sounds like he has made some progress
Well, I can say this. I actually have the TrueTrack installed on my Low Rider, but if these mounts are reasonably priced and not some stupid figure like 400 dollars a set, I will install them in conjunction with my True Track when the current mounts wear out.
