yea i see they only talk about FLH but if I read right earlier in this post they were supposed to be coming out with an FXD (specifically for the streetbob rumor has it - I kid, I kid) anyway Ill try calling them tomorrow and see if I can get info - I need to replace my mounts yet again! not happy about this
i have talked to several companies i think badbagger was the company that ws in the development stages of them (had like 4 or 5 in service) if it was them they offered to sell me one for $400 bucks! hahahah for real! needless to say i have a new stock motor mount front and rear for 120 for both!
well a little bit of good news (maybe) I spoke to a guy at GlidePro today - good suggestion SCLonghair! - and he said they are in the process of developing a pair for FXD and should know something better in a few weeks to a month - So Ive got my calendar set to contact them then - Might jsut be more talk - who knows.
GlidePro! that is the company! i could not remember for the life of me... they are a great group but the $ about 8months ago was a bit bonkers, they have a few in operation though!
Just thinking out loud but would it make sense to change only the rear isolator to poly if they are too expensive? My thinking is that since the rear isolator is connected to the swing arm/trans and that seems to be where the issue remedied by installing something like the true track originates.
Knowing that poly bushings do transfer a bit more vibes to the handlebars because of their rigidity, I wonder if the same thing occurs with a poly isolator.
Since I don't know, are their rubber bushings on the swingarm? I wonder if adding poly bushings there would also help solve any wishy-washy-ness (referenced the HD technical manual for that one) in our backends.
not sure - i keep ripping front ones apart though - no clue what they are gonna want to charge - he did say he had 5 or 6 prototypes roaming around San Diego county with several thousand miles on them and he seemed hopeful that they would have more info on whether they will put it to production within the month.
Ill be keeping in touch with him and ill report what I learn
I also saw in searching the interent that a comp[anhy called 'Rowe Mfg' builds rigid frames for dynes and such and have some sort of mounts that they got Energy Susepnsion to build - Im trying to get in touch with them and I have also sent a message to Energy Suspension

Cheers
Please keep this up to date. I am averaging a front mount every other year. I just bought my third one yesterday and probably will install it tomorrow. I still see no evidence of the rear one failing.
