OK... install poly handlebar mounts... more vibration... how will poly engine mounts help you guys?
I have to agree with this. Polyurethane is going to transfer more vibration than rubber. Maybe not more than a bad rubber mount though. It may end up being an acceptable trade off. A little more vibration in return for longer mount life.
Nothing wrong with polyurethane. They are stiffer than rubber but it does not mean they can't isolate vibration. It all depends on the durameter rating of the urethane being used. Urethane mounts will also hold up much better.

+1
Definitely will resist oil that can get on it from changing the oil filter.

OK, I checked glide pro and havent seen a mount setup for the Street Bob. Does anybody know the scoop on the Poly mounts. Are they gonna be available for the front and rear or just the front. How did testing go on the Street Bob?
you 'street bob' guys sound like the 'nightster' guys on the sportster forums... its a DYNA, for crying out loud... cheers
It is not necessarily about vibration, but about increased longevity of the mount, That said, the mount may increase vibes over a stock mount so your comment is superfluous.

I think the poster was eluding to the fact that he sees Street Bob owner's to think their bikes are somehow different than the others in the Dyna class. Much in the same way he sees Nightser owners doing the same thing.

You'll get use to it. Problems seem to be thought of as Street Bob, Fat Bob, Wide Glide, Low Rider, Superglide or Superglide custom specific. NO matter how much they are basically the same bike

Ya, re-reading it I can see what they were getting at it, but either way it adds absolutely nothing to the OP or the conversation. It is easy to look beyond the model specified and know whether it applies to your bike. It bothers me more when someone posts a comment or a thread and does not specify their bike model or year. At least when someone says Street Bob I know they are talking 06' up and Nightster 07' up.
