OK... install poly handlebar mounts... more vibration... how will poly engine mounts help you guys?
Kind of depends on the durometer of the material used. I would agree that the mount may transfer more vibration, but I doubt it would be as bad as a collapsed rubber mount and would not have to be replaced as often as the rubber mount.
I still think a good alternative is to fill a new mount with a windshield sealant like CRL7711 a butyl rubber type sealant. I have used this on turbo Dodge engine mounts that used to tear out, almost doubling their life span and not greatly increasing the vibrations to the passenger compartment.

I replaced my mount and had it shimmed. The engine has settled and is now sitting on the rubber again. I guess i just want better rubber that won't wear out. As cbz1200n had mentioned it all depends on the the stiffness of the polyurethane. They make them in different stiffness. I was planning to use a stiffer mount and shim with industrial isolation pads.
everyone i know that has these in their touring bikes SWEARS by them! no more vibrations and most of them even got rid of their true tracks after all is said and done. call them Rounder they will go over why poly is better after 5 min on the phone i was sold!
My eyeballs vibrate so bad I can't read street signs unless I lift my *ss off the seat.
If that's true then there is something seriously wrong with your bike. My Dyna is fifteen years old, and even before I replaced the engine mounts a few years ago it didn't vibrate that bad. What I experienced mostly, when I had bad mounts was a lot of vibration comming through the footpegs. I had owned a Dyna before, and knew it was excessive. It turned out to be the mounts.
