LMAO, sometimes I crack myself up. So, I just went out and pulled off the Xied's and the FuelPak. I plugged in the SEPST loaded up the map for my bike and fired it up.....it ran like DOG ****! I was freaking out. I was thinking to myself...self...what did you just do? I couldn't even ride this thing down the street it was so bad. There was no way....NO WAY! I held my face down to the pipes to smell if it was running lean or rich and #2 was rich....REAL RICH. Then I realized that the bike wasn't fully running on two cylinders and I checked the coil. Yeah...loose plug wire. Plugged it fully in and the bitch ran like a champ. I amaze myself sometimes.
Tomorrow I'll ride it into work and start data logging to see if I can tune this thing to where I need it. Maybe I was just running to rich with all the add-ons.
I just sold my GSXR1000 and me and the old lady was clocked on it going 177MPH. She was trippin out when we got off believe me. But the old Bob will tag 115 MPH No Problemo.... But its sketchy and I dont feel so froggy nowadays. I am happy to still be here after all the dumb **** I have done on sportbikes. I just like puttin around at 55 MPH all day.
I still think if she wouldnt have been on it I could have broke 180! Oh well I will probably never see those speeds again unless I start drag racing.
I've only topped 100 a few times, but had no problem getting there in 6th from 70~75. One of the guys on our 4 day ride this past weekend hit a little over 110 on his mostly stock Fat Bob without issue. Not many reasons to go that fast in my mind, other that to say I did it, which isn't much of a reason. A lot more enjoyable to cruise at 65-70 or run twisties.
Yup, pegged it today. My advice, anyone with a FuelPak....ditch it! Between the popping and the shitty tune, that thing is worthless.
On a side note, my engine is running cooler, better, smoother....and even though it doesn't seem like it's pulling that much harder....results speak for themselves.
I got a pretty much stock bike the only motor work or performance work is the intake, my exhaust and the SERT. i have had my bike pegged at 120 a few times on a closed course. i took it all the way to 120 in 5th and shifted to 6th i didnt notice much acceleration if any at all in 6th gear i am about to swap out the rear pulley for a 70 tooth to see if that helps at all
