Almost sounds like a crap shoot as to which one will work for each particular rider. All I know is I don't particularly like the looks of a shield but after getting stung five times in one day (once in bottom lip by a hornet, twice in the neck by a wasp and twice in the chest through a shirt by a yellow jacket) and stung on the forehead two days before that a windshield is definitely in my future.
Yes it is a crap shoot, unless you know someone who has a shield on and you can test for yourself. The Wind Vest IMO, is to narrow, creating to much side buffeting. If one feels it's still to short, you can flip over (reverse) the mount and gain more height.
The chock is a Baxley sport chock. Works good on my Kawi and the HD when I want to hold the bike upright and especially if I need to lift the rear to remove the wheel ect. Not cheap but worth every penny imho.
