Default fuel level question

Now I know that on a fuel injected car it is best to keep no less than 1/4 tank of fuel in the car due to the fact the the fuel helps to keep the in-tank fuel pump cool. So, does the same hold true for our injected bikes? Just makes sence to me that it would.

Autos have a closed loop system that recirculates the unused and heated (under the hood) pressurized fuel back to the gas tank, the bikes don't. I have had FI autos give me trouble on a hot day while running near empty, and it sure acted like vapor lock to me.

Pretty sure that Harleys can be run until dry without fear of the tank gas being over heated.

1/4 tank is about 50 miles, at that short of a distance I wouldn't worry about it before you need a fill. I run mine till empty every time and in 36k miles haven't had a problem.
