Default Need help internal wiring

I've got my connector loose and everything out, but I've got a smaller connector still connected to my wires...I can't figure out how to release the pins. It only has 3 wires in it and I can't get them to release and with the connector still attached it won't fit through the hole in my bars!!

A photo of the connector would help ... where exactly is it located, and what bike are we talking about?

it goes to the bars, i believe it is horn wiring, it is 3 wires and I'll get a picture in 5 mins.

it is in the same wire loom as the signal light wires. it connects underneath the tank in the same spot as the bigger connector.

its an 07 street bob

On the backside of the connector (bottom photo), generally if you depress those inset "copper" lines, that will generally release the spring tension to allow you to slide the wires out without any force. There is probably a small ribbed bracket soldered to each wire end to lock them into place ... looks similar to computer connectors I've disassembled.

If you have a service manual there is a section near the back that explains how to release the wires from the various connector types.
