I have gone back and forth, and i think I want to get the Short shots for my street bob. What does everyone think? Will there be problems with heat/exhaust on a passengers foot? Any positives/negatives would be great
no probs with mine re heat on passengers feet, people love them or hate them, I love mine.
I fitted the quiet baffles and also wrapped some extra fibreglass tape around the baffle and this helped deepen the sound a fair bit, quiet isn't really what they do
Negative- Alot of people will probably tell you that they're not the best pipes in terms of performance
Positives- They look cool (especially the black ones), they sound great IMHO and they could usually be had for pretty cheap. Usually lots of good deals on ebay.
i have em and love em also, kept the baffles in that came with em. a few buddies of mine complain because they cant hear theyre bikes over mine (they have stock exhaust) they look great.
Great pipe for the price. Sound or loudness is all opinion of the owner. I do not think the stock baffles are too loud. I would not suggest completely removing the baffles. It will hurt the performance. And Short Shots are not a great performane pipe anyhow. But they look good, sound good and are very affordable. Big City Thunder Baffles will make them a lot louder if you wanted to do that later. Id say put them on as they come from the factory and then make baffle changes later if so desired.
