Since I turned my Dyna into a part time bagger, i like the idea, but those just don't fit.
One thing you might want to watch out for with those as they are currently mounted... They look like they are too far back, if you load them up and ride 2up, I would be willing to bet you are going to have issues with front end wobble. Too much weight, too far back on the bike.
Just something to keep in mind.
I prefer soft bags on the Fat Bob personally. Your hard bags just don't look natural or correct on the bike. However, if you need the storage and are happy, f**k it!
Not bad ryan glad you finally got 'em on. They're quick detach for a reason -- you don't have to keep them on full time but when you need them you'll sure be glad you did it.
Mine stick out too but I don't give a ****. I get compliments all the time from people believe it or not.
Ultimately I'm going with a touring-type rear fender with a bell bottom type contour and then I'll get something to fill in the gap. Probably the Harley fillers.
thanks ya i got plans for a new fender and some fillers i just fliped the keepers so thats like 1/2 inch closer thanks for all your help
I believe that will make you quite happy and nail the look your after. My bags were too large in my opinion as well. At least I thought they looked too large and out of place on my Low Rider. I added a touring style rear fender and I really believed it balanced out the look of the larger bags. Believe me, I get that big bags have to stick out...if for no other reason than to clear the exposed shocks. We ride Dyna's after all, not softails. Sometimes we have to modify and change our bikes to suit our tastes. Sounds like your headed for some nice changes. Keep us posted with pics.
