i just did a 1500 mile trip on my "06" Bob.. only real issue was needing to move my riding postion. I have front controls and with the mini apes I can last quite awhile.
But I would like top be able to stretch my legs s bit more...
I do not have "crash bars" and was wondering has anyone mounted pegs other then on the engine guard?
you have those 2 holes at the bottom front of your frame used for mounting highway pegs. You probably have plastic covers on them right now. If you take out the covers, you will see the holes. Not sure if you can see the bars in my signature or not.

Since you are already using forward controls you may be out of luck. I haven't seen any highway pegs that would work with forwards other than on an engine guard.

Yeah Super01.. thats my problem. With the forward controls I am already using those mounts..
I was kind of hoping for some after market bracket that spanned the frame for pegs.. I am not sure I want to put an engine guard on it..
With all the clever things I've seen on here, someone may have an idea yet..
Not sure of the make or model, but someone in my riding club has what he called a 'mustache bar' on his super glide. It is basically a piece that mounts under the frame where the two underneath bars meet (sorry, don't know the proper terms) this is where an engine guard would mount anyway. This would solve you problem, although he says they are up a little high for him.

I'd like to see that set-up.. are they after market or did he fabricate??
