Cheap solution???

Been thinking about getting some new slip ons for the Bob, when someone told me that I should just bore out the mufflers, pull out the baffles and get a remap. What are the pros and cons to this? Would I gain besides more sound?

You'll be dissapointed with the sound. Almost everyone I heard of that did that didn't care for the sound and then got slipons or new pipes.

You can purchase Vance and Hines total header cheaper than the Screamin Eagles and they out perform them, but either way much better than stock without baffles. You can buy a V&H feul pack and remap your own bike, and you can change your setting each time you add something to your engine. So over time the price of it pays for itself. (cost about twice as much as getting your bike mapped once) You will save that differance with their pipes vs the SE cost.
