Have fun with that one. Mine was so tight I messed up 3 bits trying to take it off. So I said to hell with it and just changed out the primary for a chrome one. I even tapped on them for a while with a hammer and they still would not wink.

I got all the bolts out except the top one. It has snapped 2 bits in half and bent one so far.

I forgot to mention. That is what busted two of the bits. They weren't cheap HF bits either. One was Craftsman and the other was Snap-On. The first one I bust with the ratchet was also a Craftsman.

harley uses torx PLUS bits.(google it) everyone has a problem with the torx. most of us just change them out when we can. i took a look further and bought a set of torx PLUS bits and the problems go away. i understand that gm uses them also. would be nice if they told you. good luck.

Unfortunately, someone somewhere has had problems with every type of screw man has invented. I have been fortunate to date with torx, but I pray to my god every time I approach one! Think calm thoughts and take care.
