Default Windshield with speedo relocation

I have a 2004 dyna and want to get a quick detatch windshield. I have drag bars with 5 inch risers and the speedo is mounted to the headlight cover. With this configuration the windshield won't clear the speedo I am told. The risers aren't the stock sized ones so I am wondering aside from buying new risers does anyone here have any ideas how to get a windshield on this thing.

I have been searching for about an hour with no luck

thanks.

I don't fully understand your fitment problem, but the windshield can be trimmed. It does attach to your fork tubes in between the fork clamps,,,right?

I have the drag bars and have gone from the 5-1/2" to the 8 inch risers without having to alter the windshield.

I did, however change a few things to get this all to work in regards to speedo fitment and such, but that was not your question.

My best answer is just to check your particular fitment issue and deal with it. If something doesn't fit, just trim it until it does. You are getting into custom categories, so you may have to do some alterations on your own.

That's some of the beauty of owning a Harley, we get to create our own stuff, good or bad, and pass the knowledge along to the next generation.

I just can't see where a riser increase will effect anything, unless you are trying to keep everything as factory, and that factory mounted speedo will kill your choices of selecting the bar and risers of your choice.

sorry about the delay basically my speedo is no mounted to the cover right above the headlight and I am not sure if it will be sticking out too far nor to install a windshield.
