Today I sold my 2008 Street Bob, but I did so to buy my dad's 2005 Deluxe.
He's going to need to get his 2nd knee replaced so he won't be able to ride as much and he needed to save up some $$ to make up for the time he'll have to take off work. So he decided he wanted to sell his bike and then just get another one (hopefully a trike) in another year or so once he's ready to ride again.
I decided that I like his bike too much to see it go so I told him I'd sell mine and give him the cash to take his bike and he agreed to that.
I really loved my Street Bob and had it nicely customized to my tastes, but his Deluxe is a hell of a bike and of all the bikes he's had over the years it's by far one of the best.
I wish we could have kept both bikes, but life is what it is and I made the choice to hold on to the Deluxe and let the Bob go.
I hope your dads knee replacement goes well.
If he needs two done, make him get them together.
My mom had one done, and she will not do the other.
He got one done years ago and now it's time to do the other...he put it off as long as he could, but the Dr. said no more cortozone shots, it's time to get it done.
