Actually Florida sounds like a very nice place compared to that other place I mentioned. Just after living there for more than 30 years, it was time for something different. I think I can bare with the Hurricanes in FL, as long as the government did their part before and after, if you know what I mean.
Doesn't matter if it's CA or FL or MA or KS. Any large concentration of people phinds them trying to make laws phrom stopping each other phrom doing what they enjoy doing.
If your raising a phamily, I think it's critical to get them out of and away phrom cities. Too many bad things phor your kids to be exposed to.
I left PHX 5.5 years ago to raise my 3 kids in a town of 10k as opposed to the 3 mil in the Valley of the Sun. My kids behavior and manners have improved greatly, and there is very little chance of them getting shot in a drive by.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh California.
The more you guys bash it the more we Californians love it!
Come December when half of you are up to your eyeballs in snow we'll be cruising the coast on 2 wheels. Might even have to put on a sweatshirt

I bet the riding must be great in California these days. Most of your bad drivers have moved to Washington and are creating havoc on our highways... Do they even have drivers education down there? lol..... Worse of all, the politicians are all following CA's lead with all the regualtions and political correctness. Probably will not be able to buy paint here either soon....I will be down there for three months starting in September.... any recomendations for Irvine area?

Since Ihave never been there, I guess I will have to play that game but where is the fun... any good party places?
What is the stealership in Irvine like? Since I will be a few miles away, I may have to checki it out and rent a bike.....
As far as party places, well, pretty much everything is either a strip mall or contained within walled communities. You can use your imagination and figure out what the nightlife would be like. Your best bet is to drive a couple of miles to Costa Mesa.

I wouldn't try to talk somebody into moving here. Everywhere you look, new housing developments. The wooded and wild places are disappearing very rapidly. Pretty soon it will all be concrete and asphalt around here. It's a huge melting pot of people, only it didn't melt. I'm sick of it but the political climate here is MUCH to my liking. That and we're a fairly rich state with good roads and a solid infrastructure. All well and good if you don't mind living in the swamp! The hurricanes just aren't as bad as people make them out to be. I'm sure people were scrambling this week to prepare for Ernesto. I didn't pay much attention. It just rained for two days and the wind picked up a little.

I'd just rather be in the Tennessee hills.
