I believe its the StraightShot HS, its the full exhaust, not just the slip ons. I also have some baloney cut tips on it, which I have pointed down instead of out.
Based on this, I am now looking for a complete stock header, I will start looking on CL to see what they have available. Some times people give them a way just to get them out of the garage. Hint hint..
You might try calling these guys and see if they make a baffle for your specific Straightshots, they have baffles listed for Straightshots, http://www.smartpartz.com/vancehines.html

That looks like it will do the trick. I will have to give them a try, thanks.
when i put my SS on my 09bob I put the "quiet" baffles in immediately so no idea how loud the standard baffles are .... but i'll tell you this, dont expect the quiet ones to be quiet - they are still very loud, esp. when you get on it.
i'd definitely rather they be quieter - hate drawing that much attention to such a slow *** bike, but sometimes traffic conditions dictate a twist of the wrist to get passed the problem children .... lots of bark for not a whole helluva lot of results.
good luck on finding something quieter though - stock was the other extreme, whats the point of riding 700lbs of steel if it sounds like a metric?

Eh, i do not want to ride something that sounds like a sewing machine, but i do value my hearing. On occasion I even listen to what my wife is saying from the back. I could do that on my 700 metric, but not now..
I have short shots with big city thunder quiet baffles.
With the stock v&h baffles in, the pipes were too loud for my taste. With the bct baffles, they are still loud, but not as loud. I would prefer the pipes to be just a tiny bit quieter, but oh well.
I also ride with ear plugs, which helps a lot. I have ridden without them, and the wind noise is more of a concern than the pipes, and i wear a ff.

Thats a bummer, maybe i will try to create my own or something. Thanks for the feedback on what you have though, it will keep me from spending the $ and not being happy w/it.
To the O/P, did you buy this bike with the long shots allready on or did you buy those and slap em on, I mean no disprespect but if I'm not mistaken longshots/shortshots are nothing more than a drag pipe. I won't bother getting into a whole another conversation on hp/torque either but I do know one thing those pipes your sporting are for folks liking noise, and not just some noise but volume, if that's not you, I would suggest save your money on baffles and start shopping for a whole new exhaust, one that will give you the sound your looking for without being just stock blaaaaaa.

no offense taken cactusred,I know a little about drag pipes, I am not a big fan of them. they were on the bike when I got it. There were some mods to the air cleaner box too, thats the next thing for me to figure out. Long story short Ii picked up the baffles and they did not do the trick, it's still a little to loud for me. I was planning on just quieting them down (for now), but that looks like it aint going to happen so I will be putting them online soon. Somebody will love them, just not me..
Hi, I've got an 09 lowrider and put the same pipes on and love them. I have the stock pipes in mint condition(about 4000 miles on them) if you're interested.
Good Luck, Paul
