The Cobra Speedsters are the best sounding and best performing pipes (aside from a true 2 into 1), but do yourself a favor and listen to any of them you want to on youtube, but then ask anyone who has riden behind a set of the speedsters.

I have. It's all in the hear of the person who listens. I prefer 2-1's...most don't.

I really like my Rineharts and Bub7's. Nothing wrong with V&H either...but again, listen to bikes in real life, youtube gives nothing credit.

Performance will vary depending on what you decide on, and what has already been done. Does this bike have the stock air cleaner? If the only modification is the exhaust change you should be fine with just adjusting the mixture a tad richer.

If you put on a new hi flow A/C (AN Big Sucker, SE Heavy Breather, etc.) then you most likely will need to rejet but it depends on what is already in the carb. I assumed I'd have to rejet when I put on the Big Sucker but when I opened it up it actually already had the jet size that I was stepping up to and it performs great with that.

HTH.
