Scorchers are good tires . For a stock oem offering they work great. Michelin Commander II's are in my opinion the best tire out there for dynas. I ran them exclusively after my first set of scorchers ran out. Flat out the best tire out there. Never did hear the buzz from the scorchers but then again im getting up there and my hearing is shot. Too many bikes with loud pipes and shooting without ear protection. (In my time we just wadded up kleenex and stuffed it in our ears). Ear protection in those days was kind of a foreign concept.

+1 on the Commander IIs. Handle great and look like new after 5,000 miles.

Had my Commander II for almost 3 years - aprox 39k km (24k miles), they run very well.

Out of experience (we in Romania have a lot of curvy roads including bad roads ) the first 5k km the tires handled absolutely perfect inlcuding wet and dry roads, the second season they were a constant pain in the *** on wet roads, i thought a few times i'll fly off the road. This has been the 4th season with these tires. I'm realy proud of them that they hold so much. Thinking of changing them with an another commander II set. If you have any other suggestions, please let me know. Also if you ever thought of visiting Romania, let me know - I'll gladly join you on our beautiful roads. just check for the transalpina road
Cheers!

2500hdon37s, if you're still monitoring this thread, how many miles did you end up getting on the Pirelli Night Dragons? I need to replace my Scorchers that i have 13k on and looking to see if there are better tires for durability and all road conditions and speeds.
