i have read a bunch of the threads on this and (ahem) other forums regarding the issue with the front motor mount and excessive vibes.
i have a 2006 SuperGlide.
My question is regarding the alignment procedure in the service manual. Before dissassembling anything (motor mount or otherwise), if i were to check the alignment using the rear fork pilot holes and the inclinometer on both brake discs and found everything to be ok beforehand, would i still need to align the bike using the adjustment under the tank once i removed the old motor mount?
Or, could i just skip to the engine alignment / centering procedure (loosen both mounts, idle 5 secs, tighten up mounts)?
