Streets, thanks for all the help and Happy Birthday! That piece looks like it will do the job nicely and definitely a good idea to bundle those wires. That's a clean look you've got there considering what it starts out looking like.

mine is in my sig picture, it used to move around so i made a new plate for the inside of the lamp to move the pressure out a bit instead of just though the bolts, worked great, also tossed the HID in there while it was open... best move i have done in a while on the bike!

So i contacted a guy at headwinds to get some details about the two top tree options available i.e the smaller cover which everyone seems to use: part # 6-0005-2CA vs the shield cover which hangs between the forks: part# 6-0006CA. He sent me these pictures of the installed pieces from customers bikes. the smaller one has a medallion added on to it but these were two good looks at an end result. I wanted to put them up because it seems no-one has the large shield pice.

Default of course...

well i got the top tree cover and of course it doesn't fit. The wires from my speedo (which is on the handlebars) go straight down in front of the top tree and the cover is a full cover for this area so there is no clearance for the wires. I am going to have to find a buddy with a tool that can cut the metal cover to allow clearance for the wires behind it and then go ahead with the install. Until then, i just zip-tied all of the wiring to clean up the look. Geez there seems to a lot of excess wire length on the bike. All of the excess is kind of folded up in a ball on the left side of the neck. Oh well, it's slowly getting a little better with each step.

What mounting bracket are you all using to mount the Cobra 2 headlight?

I'm trying to mount it on a 2002 night train and its way to long for the stock mount setup.

Any help would be great!
