So i was working outside wed and was finishing up with my customer when i relized i was overheating and about to passout....well after 2 hours of throwing up and all the fun of nearly blacking out i managed to pull it together and go home for the day...well the next day i wake up sick (cold/flu) and just all around crapy feeling. Of course all this happens the same day my lowering kit and my cool new mirror come in.....so i writeing this as yet again ive walked by the kitchen just to stare at my bike in the garage, the lowerin kit and mirrors on the work bench next to it. Its crazy to me being inside and forced to stare outside at things i wanna do but cant....its like being a kid again and watchin it rain outside from the inside house window......lame!
See, I always look at it like, hell with it, I can either be sick in here, or sick out there....unless of course its sick like I just would prefer death...
I almost got heatstroke last week working on my bike at my storage building. No a/c and it had to be 110* inside. I came very close to passing out several times. That's nothing to play with.
Yeah I am with SC on this one. I got my truck back from the body shop and they made a mess of my truck. I have been working on it for almost 2 weeks from midnight to 3-5 am every night. I almost have it looking new again. But I take a towel and a fan with me to the garage and be careful as its so hot in NC right now you can get messed up quick.
To top it off my IPB is failing and I am upgrading my stator/rotor to the Screamin Eagle compensator setup and those parts should be in about the time I am done with my truck.
I love the South because I get to ride year round if I want to, but when you have to ride daily in this heat it gets forkin rediculous especially with all these stupid **** tourists that cant drive for sh1#. So I try and use the summer nights to mod my bike. leaving Spring/Fall/Winter to rack up the miles. Hence why I am always on the board lately....
take it easy man!!! i had a buddy have the same thing happen to him last year and he was only 27...for some fluke 2 days after he felt dizzy and got sick he died from heat complications...

You also need to drink lots of water. If you are not peeing, you are getting or may be dehydrated. Also look at the color of your pee...yellow = need water.
What about also filling a container with ice and putting it in front of the fan also.
