Bonehead mistake while installing derby cover
I got an HD skull #1 derby cover for my FXDF and installed it this evening. I have a haunting suspicion that I installed the gasket backwards.
I haven't ridden it since I installed it. Can I just remove the cover and reverse the gasket in the morning, or do I need a new gasket?

The raised lettering goes in towards the motor, the ring seats against the outer primary flange, just make sure if you did install it wrong that there's no indention's or harm from the derby cover to the seal and you will be able to reuse it.

That gasket can be reused many times IF you take care of it and torque things down in the star pattern to prevent any warpage. You don't need to use a torque wrench and be careful to not over-tighten.
