Dangerous Heat Wave
The heat got me today, I got off my bike at a gas station and hit the ground, lucky I had some help. I was shaking and pukeing all the place and couldn't stand up, trying to black out. I never had any heat related problems in the past but I'm bad out of shape now and I didn't really realize when the danger signs started. I feel a lot better now at home but had to call someone to drive me back home.
It think it was 102 but the heat index was a lot higher. kinda like driving through an oven.
You guys and gals be careful in this hot weather. I think if I was on the side of the road with no help I probably would have died I think ?

Friend, I'm just really glad you're ok!
If you ever plan on going out in intense heat, be sure to hydrate well before you ride. Lots of H20, and keep the caffeine to a minimum.
Take it easy, bud. Lay low, eat well and drink lots of water.

ouch! glad you came to a stop first!!!! wife and i put on 200 miles yesterday... i just shaved my head like an idiot!!! so guess what... BURN BABY BURN!!!!!! just what you want, crazy sun burn working with and in an oven for powder work... going to suck! glad you are ok bud!
I got sick at the last rally I did..The heat is not a joking matter when ya get a little age on you.. Water,Gatorade,some of the best things you can do..

I live in the desert, where the temperature can climb to 115 in August. Make sure you wear a long sleeve shirt or jacket and stop at least once an hour for water or gatorade. Stay away from beer until you are done riding. Even one beer can dehydrate you quickly.

I heard about the Northeners complaining about the heat getting into the 90's, lol thats a fall afternoon here in TX! Funny how different areas are affected by different climates, if its cold here people whine like hell. Me I prefer the heat over the cold but I've worked in it all my life so I guess thats why, they said 105 here today I dont think it quite made it. We've had a real wet summer.

Glad you're ok. take it easy for a few days now too. Put plenty of water or Gatorade in you more than you normally would. Think about how our soldiers are doing in the desert with those temps. Glad I am too old to be there.
