LownBlue is correct. When you remove the slip ons from a '10 FXDC you can see the honeycomb section inside the front of each muffler. Sounds like you'll have to find a different plan.
Wonder if I screwed them when I drilled thru the baffle?
Thanks for the info guys.
They're made of a coated ceramic material, so if you didn't get a bunch of whitish grey dust out of them after drilling I'd have to say no you didn't do any damage.
American customs told me it was the same price if you bought their slipons pre modded and send them yours. You've just get charged a core charge until you send yours in to them. I'd think its just easier to send yours in and then let them send you their modded ones.

Problem is that they said they wouldn't give me the $89 credit if I sent in pipes with a cat converter in them.
The reason I don't want other slip ons is that 1) I like the shape of the tapered stock pipes and 2) I'm powder coating the heat shields black including the one over the muffler which I'm leaving chromw. The muff heat shield won't fit over other slip ons.
Probably the best compromise is to get the modded slip ons for $258 and not get the credit. I still get the shape I want and can still use my heat shields.
