Default Thinking about a Lindby Bar.

The thing is I'm vertically challenged.
My inseam is just 28''.
I'd like to know if anyone else that short has tried the Lindby Bar on an FXD with mid controls.
The standard Highway peg mounts just don't get my feet up or back far enough to be comfortable.

I ordered one...29" inseam. Will have my Kuryakyn X-Tensions for sale if all works out.

Tom, I recently purchased a multibar for my '07 FXDL. In a word, my answer to your question would be yes. The bar raises my feet position higher, and because of the angle, they are closer. My inseam is 29" The multibar that I purchased requires the removal of the highway pegs. I plan to modify this, (drilling a hole in the mounting area of the multibar), so that I can keep both. Caveat: my big gut makes the angle of the multibar somewhat uncomfortable, but I did purchase it for use as an "engine guard." Hope this helps!

i had to get a engine gaurd because of my surgeries to both my knees, i cant keep them in one place for long so i have to keep moving them around or i cant ride. i tried the harley one i bought off ebay that was beat up for cheap 50.00 the round style, but it sucked ugly and only really could use the highway pegs not the top of the bar for your feet, because the top of the bar is so high up. so i bought the lindby bar and love it because you can use the hole bar for your feet and the pegs, plus its better looking then the harley. (IMPORTANT) if you buy a lindby bar and you have mid control buy the one for the regular dynas, if you have forward controls you need the one for the FXWDG, it will fit regular dynas also, so dont worry. here are a few pics of my pic with differnt set-ups so you can get a idea on how it looks in different ways. hope it helps with your descion. jackyl

Make sure you check other stores offering the same item some of them have lower shipping prices.
Just search Ebay for tour pack.

By the way the mount doesn't come with it. I got my mount from jackyl on this forum. or he has an Ebay store that he sell the mount and Tank lift kits.

Thanks for the pics, jackyl. It still looks like it might be something of a reach for my short legs. I don't know if the bar for the mid controls (which I have) would be any further back.
I'm gonna have to try and make sure I can return it if it won't suit me.

I bought the Lindby Multibar in gloss black for my '08 SB. I love the colour, as it matches the colour of the frame, and it looks like it's supposed to be there. I'm about 5'9", and I don't find the integrated highway pegs all that great...my knees bend too much! I didn't buy them for that purpose though...only to protect the bike if I ever dump it.

Having said that, I'm *very* happy with it!

I bought a similar engine guard from Cavalry Customs with engraved foot pegs. It works well for me (30" inseam). I plan on adding some pegs to it to move my feet out a bit. This guard does use the bolt holes that the Harley highway pegs would use.

Was thinking of putting one on but was going to put it off for awhile but your link just made me make the bid. Looks good and with the support on Jackyls ebaystore looks like will be easily removable. SORRY TO HIJACK THE THREAD
