Went for a ride to Anamosa today and picked up a Bell 500, Speed Soul. *snip* so making the 200 mile trip home I strapped on the Bell, great fit , light weight *snip*
Did J&P have alot of sizes instock to try on? Next time I'm back visiting the family in Anamosa I'll have to swing by there. That has to be a nice fun ride assuming you took the back roads.
I have one, and I like it. But on my head it does give me the Great Gazoo look, not as bad as some other helmets. That does not stop me from wearing it, goofy is my style choice!
It is a fairly new helmet, people are interested. When I went looking for reviews online I did not find many, I imagine many of those hits are coming from people that get to the site through a search engine.
Is it me or do all the picture with the Bell Helmets being worn all seem like the helmet sits high on your head. My 2 Biltwell's will sit all the way down over my forehead which I love. The only problem I have with the biltwell is if I don;t wear a bandana or beanie they helmet starts moving around after about 80mph... For most thats not a problem but I ride around 80-85 all the time out here in So Cal... On second thought maybe I should get a DOT Helmet....to bad I got a small melon and every Dot Helmet makes me look like a damn Bobble Head.... Wish they wouldn't, that Bell is a nice looking helmet.
Well, I finally got mine. Being the boring type, I just went with the flat black. Besides, it goes with the bike...
This just might be the most comfortable helmet I've ever owned, and I've had a lot of 'em, of all types. Light weight, good visibility, doesn't move around at speed. I highly recommend it.

The XS,Sm,and Med Bell 500 are a smaller shell than the large /XL/ Custom 500s. I will post a comparo pic of the 2 different shell sizes later. The biltwell is a nice NOVELTY helmet for sure.
I'm in Nebraska, & there is absolutely no place at all to try on one of these Bell 500 helmets for size & fit. I've been lookin at this helmet for a couple of months now, but I'm scared to buy one on line. I'm right between a XS & a SM, (ya I'm just a little feller). From how they fit on you guys that have bought them, which way should I go on this?
