Installed my PCV and took out my fulpak today and all I can say is WOW, no more surging, no more hard shifting though gears, no more shaking my teeth out at idle, no more decel popping...and to think I ride the bike like that for over 2000 miles, and thought that was how it was supposed to ride. Smooth shifting, smooth Idle, no decel popping more power...love it. I just wonder if riding my bike like it was(way out of tune) for 2000 miles did any damage to it???? What do yall think?

Bare with me, I know nada about any of these fuel management systems, but when you say you intalled it yourself did you also tune it yourself? Was it difficult?
I have a SERT map download on my '09 FXDB, dealer said it was the way to go and did everything they could to keep me from buying PC. I have never felt like my bike runs as good as it should; lots of decel popping just doesn't seem to have that get up and go. I read in this months AIM about EFI manipulation and am interested in the PC. Cost? Difficulty to install/ tune? Any help would be appreciated.

I installed it myself,it comes with easy to read instructions and its very easy to install. Tuning the PC is simply downloading a map with the software they provide in the box with the product to the pc with a usb cord they also provide. All you do is pick out a map with the mods that closely resemble your mods. Now to fine tune you will have to get a map from someone like fuelmoto, or dyno the bike. But i can tell you just picking out one of the maps powercammander provides has my bike running a 100 times better than it ever has, I cant imagine how well it will run after putting it on a dyno. A friend of mine had the dealer program his ECM too and he has alot of decel popping also and the bike just dosent seem to run or sound right. The cost was $327 new but well worth the cost. You may be able to find one cheaper on ebay.

Thanks brother. You answered all of my questions. I'm leaning hard in the direction of buying one. Of couple of guys have said that my dealer should be able to use my SERT to get my bike to run right but I've read a lot of negative SERT feedback on this forum...

Thanks again.
Don't waste your money on a Power Commander if you have a SERT. I believe the SERT has a V-tune (that's what it's called on the mastertune, similar product) that uses the stock 02 sensors to record data. Then you compare the V-tune suggestions to your existing map and modify it. After several attempts your bike will be 95% of what it would be after being tuned on a dyno.
The SERT is more powerful than a PCV. It just takes some time to learn it. You can buy the CD and cable and tune the bike yourself...
