yes! i know i do not have to remove the voltage regulator to change the oil....i wont do it agian.. i just didnt want to get oil all over everything..my problem started after changing my fluids.im assuming i created a short or bent a connection while connecting things,.. i have rode with stock plugs and wires and with the aftermartket ones...problem is the same either way. im thinkingmaby i shorted out that area of my ecm? i dont know. im becomming very frustrated with this. i certainly do not have the money to let H-D fool around with it! a few local shops we get out work done at..pretty much told me we are gunna do everything u say you have or are gunna do..so it be a waste of money..and it still may not get fixed.
i will finish testing electical ****..i just dont know how im gunna see it cents it only happens when its running

Once you remove the filter, I usually spray the area down with bra-kleen or something similar that evaporates on it's own. It does cause the oil residue to wash away. Without sounding like a d!ck, don't be so **** about it. The way the filter is located/situated you just about can't help but to make a mess.
HDTech74, What's the story on the injector wires? They feel like they're solid core, not stranded. Are the wire breaks due to repeated movement? Are the breaks random, or are they breaking in the same relative location? What pattern, if any, are you finding?
They're stranded wires. The wire is Yellow with a Green tracer.
I believe the breaks are from repeated movement.
they are breaking at pretty much the same location on most every bike Ive see. And the pattern seems to be mostly on dynas, some softails in there too. What I'm thinking is that some of the bikes needed a motor mount and the people kept driving it like that putting more stress on the wires. The location of the break is maybe a 1/2" before it goes into the connector for the injector.
When I find these problems, I extend the wire to give it a little more slack so it won't be so prone to breaking again. some of the ways the MOCO fixes the wires on bikes leaves them at odd angles.
Also I have seen the pins on the plug for the coil back out as well, sometimes even break there too.
The ckp well when they're bad the bike either won't start or of it does start
it will backfire and such because it's giving the incorrect timing reading to the ecm/icu
sometimes the ckp only acts up when the bike is warm. that sensor is only about 5o bucks I think. but I would see if a buddy has a known good one before to test your bike with before buying one.
