The difference in handling makes Metzeler cheap to me, especially when it comes out to less than .02 / mile for a tire that easily outperforms the Dunlop.
The flat I got on my recent Metz was at 3000 miles and it still looked like new, and that was a rear.
Jakewilson.com has your size for 120 delivered.

Rocky Mtn ATV: Dunlop D401 Rear, 150-80B16 (same as came on my used 2006 Heritage Softail), without the Harley lettering. $115 including shipping.

I don't care if it doesn't say Harley Davidson in black under the black fender. Bought it today, 8/21/2010 from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC

Default I think it would look dumb as hell

And another Dunlop for $89 delivered right to the house:

I just don't want to burn up another tire in less than 8K miles. Pirelli and Metezler make great tires but they aren't cheap. And theres no chance I can get an Avon for under 100 bucks. Its really starting to look like another Dunlop but the fact 8541hog got 16K out of a Metz makes me think a little. Its not cheap if I need two in the same time as 1 that costs more, but lasts.

"Hahaha, Probably like me, he likes to get his moneys worth"
Yeah, thats a FACT!

Now, One LAST question. Do you guys think a whitewall on the rear might be worth the extra cash or would it look dumb as hell on this bike? Oh, and for reference sake, I took this picture August 3rd. Tread was low, but at least there was some last week!

.
The exposed shock springs says badass to me, and I don't like whitewalls with badass. One man's opinion.

Wait...you're contemplating spending more cash on a whitewall instead of just buying a quality rear tire? That doesn't make sense man...

Is this the first time you've seen a Dyna? lol They all run 'exposed' shocks.

jstdadd, thanks. And yes, you guys are 100% correct. Both on a whitewall looking awful on my bike as well as....why the heck spend the extra money when I'm trying to go cheap-a$$ on myself. So I wound up ordering the Kenda and inner tube combo. Got it all for less than 80 bucks delivered. In fact for an extra 90 cents they threw in a new rubber rim strip. Almost blew my budget, but I just couldn't say no. HA!

Was going to say go w/ the Kenda. That's what I'll be putting on mine when I wear the Michelin Commanders out.

HA, I only drink Captain Morgans! No chance anyone can reuse one of my old tires. Not unless they are looking for a racing slick!!!
