If your not looking to spend a pile of cash the 412's are really hard to beat. Don't be fooled, they are not high end shocks.....not by a long shot, but they are good shocks for the money. I ran 3 different sets of 412's in various lengths over the past few years and they are better than what comes on our Dyna's from the factory. Myself, I highly recommend the Heavy Duty version if two up riding is the plan, and the standard rated 412's if your almost always just a solo guy.

If the 412's is what you decieded on, I don't think you will be sorry. They are for sure better than OEM.

Jay
A hydrulic shock will alway be better then a air shock, if you want to go air shock there are only two worth using for 2 up if you want comfort, first is the AIR FX, it is a single body shock for (softail models) dual all others, that has pre load damping built right in to them. It is closest to hydrulic shock there is, second is platnum air, they allow you to set your own damping, progressive air shock is not to bad but not as good as AirFX and platitum set up, while Legends was first air shock on market they are basicly an air bag set up, great for dump trucks not so good for motorcycles. Progressive shocks hydrulic style are very good set up. Many of the online dealers have great prices on the shock, dumbassbiker has great deals on Air FX models but they sell everbodys shocks, give the parts guys a call many can give you an idea of what is best. I have test all air shock and if it is my hard earned cash I am buying air fx or hydrulic set.
