Default need shock advice

Purchased a used (2004) Wide Glide that did not have an owners manual. I have not purchased a service manual yet. The problem is when riding with passenger it seems to bottom out on bumps pretty often. Are the stock shocks on a 2004 Wide Glide adjustable ? When I look at them you can't see anything to adjust.

They are adjustable. You just need a spanner wrench to turn 'em. You sure they're stock length? (12.5")

Every shock has a "Lifespand" and it either must be re-built or replaced. depending on your mileage this may or may not be your case. Check it out yourself to see if that is the case which I am not saying.

Congrats on the bike dude! Your shocks are adjustable, there should be numbers on the "rod" if you peek between the spring. You need to turn clockwise with a spanner wrench. Go to next number and test, experiment at different speeds... set both side the same
