I just received a new 16x16 Windvest for my 2010 WG. No matter where I position it, high, low, tilted back, pushed forward, I get major buffeting. I tried the hand across my chest trick, but didnt feel much air coming from below. Seems like it is hitting me high on the helmet. I am thinking a 14x14 may be better, does anyone have any experience with the smaller Windvest? Especially on the new Wide Glide?
My particular model mounts to my handlebars, but I do have the ability to move the shield up or down a total of two inches, which I have messed with over and over.. I guess I will just try to get it as close as I can and live with it..
I had the same complaints as you did on my '08 wide glide. The answer for me was to order a Cee Bailey's 9" summer shield replacement. It takes almost all of the wind off of your torso and directs smoooth, clean air to your helmet - no buffeting. The Cee Bailey's shield is only about $50. It's also pretty minimalist, so it goes well with a wide glide.

I tried both 14 and 16 on my WG and finally gave up.

That's interesting. if you could buy just the brackets from WV I wonder how much cheaper it would be with their replacements ?
