The FL bags taper. They are wider at the top. That adds a gap at the bottom. Then you space them out for the sissbar QD mounts. And then add more space for the bags QR. Joe, it's what we have to have if we want decent sized hard bags, QD, and QR mounts. I decided to hard mount the bags and use a QD for the sissybar and tour pak mount.

I'm such a conservative (well, not politically) old fart. . . I confess that I like the bike best without the fillers.

But those are DAMNED NICE fillers Joe!

Nice fabrication job on the fillers Joe but those bags just stick out way too far for my taste. You're the dude that's gotta ride with them though so if it works for you it works for me.

Joe...Try this...just extend the filler to closer to the bottom of the bag. Trust me man!

That was my thoughts also. Seems like the gap would then be a little less noticeable. But then hey, they're not gonna be on the bike all the time anyway so what's the big deal, none.

Great job, Joe ... inspiring me to follow suit ....

I am a little ambivalent about whether longer filler panels would improve the look ... possibly ....

I think it looks pretty good, as is ... the fillers' contour flows well from the fender to the bags ....
