I know theres a few Marines on this site....
I just wanted ya to know that on 8-22-10 a Brother Marine and a Brother Patch Holder in the Marines MC was Murdered by two Pit bulls....

Pit Bulls are a double edged sword. I have had great experiences with them....
I have also had terrible experiences with them...
I have come to the conclusion based on personal experience that if I were to be around Pits on a daily basis I would do so only with personal protection at alll times and be prepared and able to follow through with the necessary actions.

Very sad story. I am truly sorry for the loss.
On a side note. I'm so tired of the media portraying pit bulls as man eaters. I have 2. Greatest dogs on the planet. Breed bans are ridiculous and naive. I've seen Lab Retrievers be extremely vicious. It's all in the raising/socializing/discipline installed in ANY dog. Hell most pomeranians are wayyy more vicious than any med/large breed dog. But because they are fluff ***** and "cute" its ok.
I am in now way trying to cause any disrespect for the loss of a loved one as it is apparent that those 2 particular dogs were a menace to society. But I think breed specific stereo types are wrong. I am, and always be, an ambassador for this breed.

Its the people who raise them to be bully dogs that are to blame. They should euthenize the dirt bags that are the problem to startwith. The world would be a better place and you can't find fault with that.
