New H.D. Tuner

Screamin' EagleŽ Street Performance Tuner Kit
The Screamin' EagleŽ Street Performance Tuner is designed to simplify management of street-legal performance calibrations as EPA-compliant performance modifications are made. Once installed, the kit will allow the dealer to upload the latest ECM calibrations for your bike's legal state-of-tune for only a minor labor fee. Start with a high-flow air cleaner and Street Performance mufflers, and the dealer can upload the calibration that provides the best performance mix. Add a Big Bore Stage I or Stage II kit later, and the dealer simply downloads the proper ECM calibration to match the model and hardware. Plus, the dealer will have on-line access to the latest factory calibrations, so they can load the most up-to-date parameters whenever you have your bike serviced. Available September 2010.

Fits '07-later EFI XL, XR, DynaŽ, SoftailŽ and Touring models (except Trike).

The SESPT/SERT/TTS kit are software packages and an interface box you temporarily connect to the bike that programs the ECU MAP to do what you want, typically more power, better drivability, good mpg. The ECU retains its full function to adjust/tune to fuel from tank to tank and some minor modifications (the O2 and ping sensors remain functional). TTS and SEST includes a self tune function where you can calibrate the bikes ECU to the VEs of the engine yourself, making for an excellent street tune. You can either use canned maps, your sweat equity to tune these yourself, or hire a dyno operator. On the late model bikes, this is a better system than a PCV but costs maybe $100 more cash. Consider the TTS kit if you go this way, its a better tool.
The full autotune systems (TMax, PCV +autotune) cost more money and are a more significant modification. They replace the stock O2 sensors with one with a wider AFR range and are self adaptable, although you can adjust them if needed. There is a difference of opinion just how effective they are in the end, but once they are installed they pretty much tune themselves under all driving parameters where the TTS/SESPT programed ECUs auto tune just when in the closed loop range (i.e. not WOT). The autotuners can handle a much broader spectrum of modifications than the ECU programers without manual adjustments (retune).
There is much discussion over in the EFI forums on the benefits of each. Enough to make your head spin.
PS there are also fuel packs which is an add on module that adds fuel to the open loop areas, the ECU closed loop functions remain intact.
