hi
was looking at the 2007 softail i was interested in the 200 tyre looks really good then i looked at the belt drive they,re using a thinner belt and it got me a thinking could you use the thinner belt on the streetbob and just change the rear sprocket maybe have to put a spacer on for the wheel sprocket?and fit a 200 tyre there,s enough room under the fender maybe move the the brake line and with the thinner belt it would fit.
Grunt is right, even the 180 tire does not leave much room to work with. If the dealer would have installed it I would have had a 200mm tire installed on my Wide Glide instead of the 180mm. I am not saying that you can not force a 200mm in there but I think that it would take one of the after market swing arms to make it work right, with adequate clearance and any margin of safety. IMHO
just do the 180 tire, looks almost the same.and it wont cost you that much for the mod.instead of paying for a custom wheel in the back FOR A 200.if your going to do that throw a 240 or 330 on it,if your going to go big GO BIG.if not just do the 180 IMO
watch out for the turn signal wires also in the inside of the rear fender. You may have to re-route them so the tire does not rub them when the shocks compress over bumps/passenger. It looks to me it may be a little close on the wires.
