Default Storage in hotter climate

I plan on taking my Dyna to Arizona in October and leaving it until May, which is our 8 month rainy season in the Northwest. I gotta ride in some warm weather this winter! I plan on renting a small storage unit in Phoenix, but I know it can get hot there and I'm concerned about heat in the storage unit on hot days.
Do I need to be concerned about heat or are our bikes ok in that environment? Is there anything I need to know about storing it that any of you desert bikers can tell me? Thanks

Use some fuel stabilizer and change the fluids.

A battery tender may be in order. The temps won't be a problem October through May, it actually cools off fairly nice that time of the year. The average temps in Phoenix are in the high 80s to low 90s Oct through May although it can be over a 100 just about any time.

Most storage units do not have power. Also, most of those type establishments ask that you empty all fluids from the bike (gas, oil, etc). Remember gas is flammable. They want to protect their business.

I assume you're gonna fly or drive down there once in a while to ride it. Otherwise, why would you bother?

If you're gonna be down there at least once a month, I'd say you're probably okay. Probably. If it's gonna sit for longer than 4-5 weeks at a time, you might want to think about some store & start or whatever that stuff is called. Heat is hard on gasoline additives. Especially some of the 'boutique' blends used in and around big cities.

Don't use the gas preservative like it's candy, it doesn't burn as well as gasoline. I doubt it will damage anything, but it could foul your plugs sooner.

It gets hot where I live, too. Not as hot as Phoenix, but pretty darned hot. Right now, this is our 'hell' time weather wise. It just sucks. Big time. Not unusual for some of us to have the same tank of gas in the bikes for well over a Month. It's been ridden in between but, still. I don't use store & start (or whatever tht stuff's called) in any of my vehicles and only had one problem one time. That was when I bought a new vehicle and let my old '99 F150 sit for several weeks in the Sun without running it. I think the gas was in there for well over three months.

I thought the engine was gonna jump put of the truck. It ran like S.H.I.T. for quite a while until I got all the bad gas out. Poured a bottle of octane booster in it and that helped. Filled it up with Hi Test and that helped even more. It took a while for it to straighten out. But that was 'regular' gas.

Point being, you/we use Hi Test in our bikes. It really is blended better than regular. If it's not gonna sit for than month.....?? Just make sure that when you go down to ride it you burn all the old gas out of it , refill it with fresh gas, and you should be fine.

Thanks for all your input...I didn't think about the absence of power and a requirement of emptying the fluids. I'll have to make some calls
