I'm wanting to raise tank 2" on my '05 Wide Glide !
I saw a few weeks ago about some of you talking about this. I need to know if it can be done?
JP cycle sell a kit for my bike. I trust your advise over parts dept . There out there for the $$$. Thanks and Stay Safe
It can be done, there's all kinds of posts on this. For peace of mind, just loosen the bolts and prop up the front of the tank two inches with a towel or something and rotate your forks to make sure you'll have no interference with the two inch lift.
P.M.(rudedog) he has a great tank lift kit. $20.00

gconley, I think with my '01 Wide Glide, I'm going to have to move my tank back a bit for a 3 inch lift. Rudedog will know, since as it has been said, he was working with someone on the Wide Glide problem.
Shouldn't really be difficult, just monkey around with some towels and a ruler til you get the look you want, check the steering clearances and start drilling some steel!!!
I took tank loose today and raised up to check clearence looks ok.
JP just sent me a discount coupon 10% off Imagine that. So got tank lift kit on order. How did they know I wanted to buy this weekend. Stay Safe and thanks again
