Tank lift guidance
I want to install a tank lift on my '07 Wide Glide. From what I have read from the searches, the tank lift on a Wide Glide doesn't work. From what I have read, the Trees will hit the tank.
Is this true? If not, which lift do I need for a 2" lift.

The 2" lift will cause tank contact, but you can remedy that by filing the rear (seat side) tank bracket forward (toward the bars). A dremel, round file, or chainsaw file should do the trick. File it about 1/8" or a little more and then be sure and slide the tank as far toward the seat as you can before you tighten everything down and you should be good to go.

I have a 2" on my 07 and it is close but does not touch. See attachment....and see the difference....

I've got Jakyl's also, had to pull back on the tank while I tightened the bolts, gives me about 1/16 clearance on each side. Close, but it's not hitting.

Three inches here (tank lift too). I filed the seat-side bolt a bit and the trees on my Wide Glide clear.
2" or 3", it's a great mod and worth the minute effort it takes to install. Jackyl's product is top quality and his service is top notch.
