Does anyone have any tips on punching out the baffles on a super glide or a link that has somewhat detailed instructions?
I know that a lot of people on here say this is not a good idea, but it is it alright to do until I can gather enough money to get some aftermarket pipes?

I just removed the slip on mufflers, set them end-down on a piece of wood and punched a centered hole in the baffle plate with a "pencil tipped" sharpened piece of 1/2" round bar. Quick and easy. I got a little more sound from the pipes, but they would still pass the broom-stick up the exhaust test for legality.
Thats exactly what I did. Tool a 1 inch square bar stock. Unbolted the muffler, and ran the bar threw. Now before you go nuts and do this, I have seen people post that some newer bikes the baffles just unbolt and pull out. Since you didn't mention your year, all I can say is at least check first and see if they just unbolt and slide out before you drive the bar threw. This is how mine looked after I did my bafflectomy. The bike ran better and was noticeably louder. Not drag pipe loud by any means, but certainly more volume and tone.
