Here is a link to the bracket I was talking about, it is made/sold by Cycle Visions and it is called "military sticker plate". It comes in chrome and black.

I just put mine on the front fork tube, down by the brake caliper. But plan on getting some type of bracket. Just haven't found one I really like yet.

I made a plate and attached it on the frame behind the forks. I used the bolt hole for installing engine guards. I can take a picture later and post it if you're interested.

FYI, I know ACC/USAF bases no longer require these stickers (post 9/11 change & costly). We now use military ID only so for those who are at ACC bases, or other USAF installations might want to check.

For others - best to take the plunge & affix directly to bike (fork, or frame - visible) b/c our LE's didn't allow something a person could remove from the bike & take to possibly gain acess.

Blueangel, are you an aviator? I am assuming by the username and I saw you are stationed at PAX..I go up there regularly. I am a controller in the Navy.

Now for the stickers, I have a side mount license plate, I just put the stickers on that, so that when I come through the gate the gate guard can see them.

Get a small piece of tin from home depot or lowe's drilled a hole to fit behind my left front foot peg, afixed the decal and bolted it on. On the road my foot covers it and when I stop at the gate its right there.

I don't understand why you wouldn't put in on a front fork lower. If it's looks, why does it look better having it on a plate somewhere. You're just adding more area to the bike.
Nobody is going to say "Wow dude, that sticker really ruins the look of your front end."
Am I missing something?

That must be an ACC policy. I recently came from USAFE and now in PACAF and both are the same...you have to diplay the sticker. Most everyone, regardless on make of bike, usually display on some kind of plate versus putting it directly on the bike.

No more stickers on CONUS AF bases, they stopped this a few years ago. You have to show your CAC and get it scanned to get onto any military base so no more gate guard waving you on without checking your ID any way so the sticker is obsolete. Maybe the other services will catch up?

Army posts, at least Fort Knox, were adamant about the stickers and by the book which means whatever they are affixed to has to be permanent and not removeable. By the book it was frame or fork tube and I have mine on the left tube as low and as inward as possible.
