This is gonna sound dumb, but tire pressure could of lessoned a bit. When you hit that hole. Just a thought, Outside of out of balance. Either in the tires or even the frame.

Thanks for the suggestions but mechanically the bike is sound. It was the idiot holding the handle bars that was the problem. As I said in my last couple of posts it was dropping 100 pounds of weight from the bike that changed the handling, not the pothole.

Correct! For cars, it is something like for every 100 lbs lost is like "adding" 5hp. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, however 100 lbs "lost" on a bike would be significant!
